This particular photo has been floating around the Net for several years...its author unknown...it's George as he paused in the middle of "You Really Shouldn't Be Doing This" and stared at the lens during the 1998 CMA's...a great moment indeed!!
In 2000, George sang "Don't Make Me Come Over There and Love You" against a video background that was also used later on for a video of that song that used some of George's live performance from the show...(left)...the photo on the right was taken just before they announced the winner of the Vocal Event Award, which of course was won by George and Alan for "Murder on Music Row".
At the 1989 ACM's, George sang "What's Going On In Your World" (above) and was surprised when his name was called as the winner of the Top Male Vocalist Award...(below)...of course we're glad he was so surprised 'cause we got to see that cute tongue of his...;)
In 1988, George was nominated for a Grammy for his single "All My Ex's Live in Texas"...he performed it on the show after telling the audience that the song was especially written for him by Whitey Shafer...
George cuts up during a guest appearance in 1983 in the old show "Hee Haw"...he sang several songs and even did corn field jokes...all the while wearing those funny overalls...
In 2001, after the devastating attack on America on September 11th, country music stepped up for a benefit concert on CMT to raise funds for the victims...and George Strait was one of the first artists to sign up...the photo above and the two below are from this night...incidentally, CMT received its highest ratings to date with that televised "live" concert...George sang "The Fireman" (in tribute to many firemen who were honored guests)...and "My Life's Been Grand"...he also said a few words at the beginning of the show and asked folks to help...saying in one memorable moment that "heroes put others ahead of themselves"...it was a wonderful night for country fans in general and George Strait fans in particular...
George singing "Lovebug" at the 1994 CMA's...
George sang a spirited rendition of "Living and Living Well" at the 2002 ACM Awards...making a fashion statement in the process with that open-collared shirt and gold chain...and looking especially scrumptious...as you can see (above) and in the 3 photos below...YUM!!!
Showing off his scar (left)...and his million dollar smile (right)...
At the end of his performance he shouted "Yeah!" into the mic...providing what one friend said was "the rowdiest moment of the night"...what do you think???!!!  LOL
Well...that's it...hope you enjoyed this trip down Strait television memory lane!!!!
