BLUE CLEAR SKY - Certified Triple Platinum 11/10/99
Some music critics have labeled this album a "masterpiece"...it debuted at #1 on the BB Country Album chart and yielded 3 #l songs, the title cut, "Carried Away" and "I Can Still Make Cheyenne". BCS was voted Album of the Year by the CMA, ACM and the American Music Awards, and that's just a few of the awards it won. CDNow selected it as one of the Top 10 albums of the decade of the '90's.
On a personal note, this is my favorite George Strait album and it includes my favorite single of the 90's, "Blue Clear Sky". This album is a must for every Strait fan!!!
CARRYING YOUR LOVE WITH ME - Certified Triple Platinum 8/10/98
Another blockbuster from King George!! His only album (to date) to reach the #l position on Billboard's Top 200 Albums (which combines pop, country, rock, etc.) Four #1 songs are included here, the title cut, "One Night at a Time", "Today My World Slipped Away" and "Round About Way". "One Night at a Time" was #l on BB's singles chart for 5 weeks. This great album was also voted "Album of the Year" by the CMA, ACM and American Music Awards.

ALWAYS NEVER THE SAME - Certified Platinum 4/27/99
Contains the blockbuster hit "Write This Down" which was #1 for 4 weeks on the BB singles chart, and was voted "Single of the Year" by the fans at the CW/TNN Awards in 2000.

LATEST, GREATEST, STRAITEST HITS
Certified Double Platinum 3/6/2003
More of George's #l's from the mid-and late 90's, but the highlight here is the duet with Alan Jackson "Murder on Music Row", which was voted "Single", "Song" and "Vocal Collaboration of the Year" by the fans at the 2001 CW/TNN Awards. The duet was also voted "Vocal Collaboration" by the CMA in 2000.
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED
This wonderful album debuted at #1 on the BB Country Album Chart, becoming George's 8th album to do so, and his 17th album (overall) to reach the #l position.
First hit single is "Run". Other favorite and outstanding songs here include "The Middle of Nowhere", "The Real Thing" and "Don't Tell Me You're Not in Love". George Strait 's in fine form in this album.
THE BEST OF GEORGE STRAIT - 20TH CENTURY
MASTERS - THE MILLENIUM COLLECTION
MCA released this greatest hits collection on March 26, 2002 and it contains some of George's best known classic hits, such as, "I Cross My Heart", "You Look So Good in Love" and "All My Ex's Live in Texas". George personally chose what hits would be part of this package, and that makes it even more special!!
FOR THE LAST TIME, LIVE AT THE ASTRODOME
George's 30th album, recorded on March 3, 2002, at the Houston Astrodome's last concert. Contains l6 of George's biggest hits and a lot of history. During the concert, he received the Legends Award from former President Bush and thanked fans for going to see him perform there since 1982. Certified Gold by the RIAA in April 2003.
HONKYTONKVILLE
Released on June l0, 2003. It includes tunes written by Dean Dillon, and other songs by such noted songwriters as Bruce Davison, Billy Yates and Byron Hill. My personal favorite songs are the first 3 cuts, only because they're so "country", and the 2nd single, "Cowboys Like Us" is a true story that George told his producer, Tony Brown, who then told the writers and they wrote the song especially for George.
50 NUMBER ONES
A must for Strait fans....you'll find all of his biggest hits here, plus the bonus cut "I Hate Everything" which also went Number One in October of 2004. MCA might have to amend the title to "51 Number Ones"!!
SOMEWHERE DOWN IN TEXAS
George's new studio album for 2005...my fave songs here are "Texas", "By the Light of a Burning Bridge" and "She Let Herself Go". This album was certified Platinum in 30 days!!!
Hallmark released this beautiful new Christmas collection featuring some of George's favorite holiday songs, he said: "These are the songs I grew up with but I added a little country flavor to each one so my fans can appreciate them. Christmas is a wonderful time when new memories are made and old ones resurface. I hope my fans will make Fresh Cut Christmas a new tradition in their homes during this happy season!"
IJCN was embraced by critics, fans and radio alike. This terrific album boasts three #1 singles: the title track, "Wrapped" and "Give it Away", which won the ACM Song and Single of the Year in 2007 and the CMA Song of the Year. Also, in 2007, it won CMA Album of the Year!!
MCA released this follow-up to 50 Number Ones in November, 2007. It includes some of George's best known hits that didn't make it to #1. It's a very nice addition to any Strait fan's collection.
"Troubadour" is special because of its sweeping overview of George's career in the title track and companion video. It's also one of his more "hard core country" efforts, some journalists have observed, and one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful of his career. Yielding two #1 singles, "River of Love" and the 2008 CMA Single of the Year "I Saw God Today". The CMA also named it the 2008 Album of the Year. And finally, in Feb. 2009, after 25+ years with MCA, it won George the coveted Grammy for Best Country Album!!! "Troubadour" is George's 33rd Platinum album and a must for your collection!!!
MCA re-issued some of George's Christmas songs from earlier albums, but worth having for the cover photo alone...love that leather jacket on him!!!
"Twang" opened at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and country charts, and features George's return to songwriting. He co-wrote the first single (up to #2 on BB), "Living for the Night", with son Bubba and long-time Strait hit songwriter, Dean Dillon. The album has received numerous rave reviews from critics. George also gifted fans with a "live" video for "Living for the NIght" filmed at Houston's 2009 concert.
"Here for a Good Time" is George's 24th #1 album on Billboard's country album chart. The most of any artist ever!!! First single is the title cut, written by George, Bubba and Dean Dillon, and they also co-wrote 6 other cuts on the album, which has received universal praise from music writers, commenting that George is "better than ever"!! Outstanding cuts include "Shame on Me", a duet with Faith Hill, "A Showman's Life" and George wrote a "thank you" to his fans for 30 years of support in the album closer "I'll Always Remember You".
"Love is Everything" is George's 40th album overall...#1 on the BB Country Album Chart with first week sales of 122,000 copies....first single already #1 plus it's Mr. Strait's 60th career single...making him the first artist EVER to reach that milestone...the song is "Give it All We Got Tonight"....George also co-wrote 4 of the songs on the album....one standout is "I Believe" written about the Sandy Hook school tragedy...personal faves for me are "Sitting on the Fence" and "That's What Breaking Hearts Do"....this album has received excellent reviews and many critics say it's a must for Strait fans and music lovers everywhere!!
